Water filter Scrubber Venturi

The Venturi Scrubber is an air filtering system that allows, through the mixing of water with the gaseous flow to be purified, to remove water-soluble substances and dusts at the same time.

Operation of the Venturi Scrubber filter:
The principle of operation of the Venturi Scrubber consists in passing the air to be purified through a reduced section passage in which the fluid increases its crossing speed (Venturi effect), injecting the washing water before this passage. Under these conditions, a mixture of air, water and dust is generated.

The water collected in the tank is sucked by the pump and injected into the pipe with the Venturi system, in which the dusty air passes, and then falls back into the water collection tank.
The Venturi Scrubber allows to retain – through absorption – the non-particulate gaseous substances soluble in water, such as ammonia, acids and alcohols.


Main elements of the Venturi Scrubber filter:

  1. settling tower;
  2. water collection tank;
  3. inlet pipe with Venturi system;
  4. water recirculation pump;
  5. suction fan.

This filter may include additional devices to optimize automatic operation:

  • level sensors in the collection tank, for the management of the automatic load of clean water;
  • overflow discharge for the evacuation of any foams and to avoid flooding;
  • solenoid valves for automatic loading and unloading;
  • turbidimeter for the automatic management of clean water exchange;
  • flow meter or flow switch to avoid damage to the recirculation pump.

The Scrubber Venturi filter is entirely made of stainless steel and has customizable dimensions according to the required air flow, the type of application and the characteristics of the fluid that must be filtered.

The filter can be connected to one or more production lines, according to the required air flow rates and all the operating parameters can be managed through a custom-made control panel.
